“Nok Kin Num Ruam Ton (Birds drinking water from ewer)” The bird, or Phoenix, has
always been a creature of ausperity, both in myth and in everyday life.The bird also
represents the Himmapan Forest of Buddhist Cosmology, which expresses the concepts of
wealth, coexistence, love, harmony, stability and sustainability. Like us, we all come from
different countries and places, have different roots and backgrounds, and as such it is a
privilege on this occasion that we may gather together here in creating art and folk art in
order to support,honour and continue the handicraft and folk art of Chiang Mai.
